Lost Your Motivation?

Find or Re-evaluate your “why”.

Do you feel like you have lost your workout mojo?

What has changed?
Trouble with balancing competing priorities?
Coping with a global pandemic?
Do you even want to be healthy?

Silly question, of course we all want to be healthy!

Like most things in life, it is easier said than done.

The idea is simple: Eat right, exercise regularly, get enough rest.

Now we just need to assess our priorities and balance the most important ones to ensure we address what is needed to be healthy and happy.

What are your goals? And more importantly what are you willing to do to achieve them?

Seems daunting, but it doesn’t have to be. Our  goals are typically quite challenging and require significant effort. This significant effort is what impedes most of us, but it is also why it is so rewarding when we accomplish them. We need to set our goals and determine what is required to get there. We often need to plan out how we are going to do that. Whatever our goals are, consistency is what gets us there. There are so many tempting distractions to derail the progress made. A little discipline goes a long way. Prove it to yourself, and others, that you are capable of amazing things!

Whether your goal is to lose some extra body fat, increase your strength, improve your general fitness or pursue elite athleticism; they all require discipline to be consistent with your efforts to maintain steady progress.

To help keep you on track with your goals try reflecting on why your goals are important to you. It may be to improve your health and energy levels to keep up with the kids or grandkids, it may be the sense of personal accomplishment in completing physically, mentally and emotionally challenging tasks. You may realize you are an inspiring positive role model to others in your life.

So, let’s keep you on track. Most of us know what we should and shouldn’t be eating on a regular basis, do it. It doesn’t have to be perfect, it just requires some discipline. Eating right ~80% and allowing for some sanity saving indulgences will provide some amazing results. Put in some effort in your exercise routine. Put forth your best effort when working out. Get active as often as possible each day, it doesn’t require maximal output every single time, just consistency. Give yourself enough time to get the rest you need and deserve. So many miss out on this part due to the abundant distractions. Commit to your wellbeing and avoid being bombarded from all the time stealing low priority temptations, especially from the social media black hole. Sure, give yourself some time to connect and be engaged as you like, but stick to it so you can get back to your priorities. Your health and your ability to care for yourself and others is likely a top priority. Do what you need to do, so it becomes what you want to do, then it just gets easier and easier. Let’s build that momentum and get you to where you want to be. You deserve it!

We are always here to help. Let us know where you struggle and we can work out a plan together.
