Myth or Fact? Hitting the snooze button will help me get extra rest so I won’t feel so tired later.
Hitting the snooze button every once in a while, isn’t a huge health no-no, but don’t expect it to give you much in the way of restorative sleep. The extra 5-10 minutes you’ll get usually isn’t enough to turn a tired day into an energized one.
If you find yourself hitting the snooze button a lot, it might be time to look into going to bed a little bit earlier. That way you’ll have time to get enough shut eye so you wake up feeling rested and energized and you won’t even have to hit the snooze button.
Sleep impacts so many things from your appetite to your memory, to workout recovery, to your immune system, and so much more! Making it a priority is important. Do you hit your snooze button more than once a week?!
