Common Question: How many days a week should I work out? 

Let’s reframe this one to how many minutes a week you should work out.

According to US guidelines (similar to those around the world), when it comes to cardio/aerobic exercise, adults should aim for:

  • Between 150 to 300 minutes of moderate cardio (ex. 30 mins/5 days a week), or
  • 75 minutes to 150 minutes of “vigorous” intensity, (ex. 25 mins/3 days a week)

Plus, guidelines call for adults doing resistance training workouts 2 or more days a week. Do you track how many minutes of exercise you get every week?
